Brady Wright gets offer to play at Southeast Missouri State

February 13, 2014

Brady Wright has always dreamed of playing Division I baseball.   After one year of playing at Rend Lake JC, he will get his wish in 2 days as the SEMO Redhawks travel to Oklahoma to play Oral Roberts.

One outstanding season at Rend Lake and Coach Steve Bieser had to have this gritty 6'4" right handed pitcher.  "We liked him coming out of high school over at Anna but thought he needed to gain a little experience," said coach Bieser.  "Coach Etnier runs a great program at Rend Lake and kids coming out of there are better than they went in."

Brady had a great season as he was 3rd in the nation is saves with 12.  He batted .347 and held his own at first base for Rend lake.

"We'll definitely miss him this season," said Etnier.  "He was an anchor for us in the bullpen and was a regular in the line-up, a true two-way player.  Southeast is getting a gamer that's for sure."

We'll follow Brady and see how his season goes.
